Agnes, my follow-up using a warm, tawny chamois thread, was introduced this spring and is slowly but surely taking off.
Karen, introduced this April, was originally designed by one of my repeat customers as a gift for a special friend. Positive feedback from everyone who has seen it is very encouraging. Try one and it will become your "go-to", constantly in use.
These sturdy, hand-woven / hand hemmed tea towels combine the smart good looks of a tweeded, hand-spun thread, with the guilt-free, even virtuous use of RECYCLED THREAD!
Our source approaches fabric mills, salvaging mill-ends, remants and fabric scraps, shredding, blending, hand-mixing and spinning to produce a thread that is truly unique. The resulting towels are highly absorbent and soft to the touch. They are of course suitable for kitchen and pantry use, but you will want to show these off in the dining room, on the patio, and anywhere you entertain.
Our latest design in the collection is in a fresh ochre-yellow-tone with lively multi-colored stripes of tweedy recycled thread.
